Guest speaker [http://www.marquette.edu/history/faculty/theoharis.shtml Prof. Athan G. Theoharis], editor of [http://www.kansaspress.ku.edu/thecul.html "Culture of Secrecy"] and author of [http://tinyurl.com/p6k32 many other books] and [http://tinyurl.com/nwg4d publications], will be on hand to explain the history and process of FOIA, share his experiences, and answer any questions you may have.  Prof. Theoharis is considered one of the top experts in the nation on the FBI and its history.
 
 
 
As a starting point, review the information at [http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/Press/information/topic.aspx?topic=how_to_FOIA this website] before the meeting and try to develop a basic understanding of the process and think about what questions you may want to ask.
